Mission
The Caribbean Spatial Justice Lab is a transdisciplinary network of scholars, professionals, and organizations studying constructed environments inclusive of buildings, engineered landscapes, and supportive infrastructures in coastal areas and communities of the greater Caribbean region.
Main research areas: inequality, coast, agriculture, and energy.
Inequality
Facilitate knowledge production and exchange between Caribbean scholars, practitioners, and institutions to face persistent inequality and social polarization.
Coast
Collect, compare, develop, and spread best practices in coastal protection and restoration that focus on the communities that live on them.
Agriculture
Collect, compare, develop, and spread best practices in food production in coastal areas on the designated geographic framework.
Energy
Collect, compare, develop, and spread best practices in sustainable energy sourcing in coastal areas on the designated geographic framework.
